I have Windows, and I want to Remove Programs to make my computer run faster. I do not recognize some of the programs on the "add or remove programs" list though, so I do not know whether it is OK to take them off. I own Windows XP. Here are the programs (ANY info on ANY is greatly appreciated):
Adobe flash player activex
apple software update
citrix presentation server client - web only
hotkey utility
java 2 runtime environment, SE v1.4.2_01
memory stick formatter
MSXML 4.0 SP2
openmg secure module 3.3.01
realone player
sis compatible VGA v2.21a
softk56 data fax
sony certificate pch
sony utilites DLL
vaio remote commander utilty 6.2
What programs can I remove from my computer?
sis compatible VGA v2.21a
-- this is for your VGA display.
softk56 data fax
-- this is for PC fax machine
Don't remove these 2. If you dont use PC fax then u can safely remove softk56 data fax. The rest are just software programs, choose those you don't really need, then uninstall it. I recommend using "WinXP Manager 5.19/5.20" to remove it. (Google it). There is utility called Smart UnInstaller. The standard windows uninstaller doesn't really do the job.
What programs can I remove from my computer?
hotkey utility
realone player
softk56 data fax
openmg secure module
everything else you pretty much need. maybe the memory stick formatter depending on the amount of usage
What programs can I remove from my computer?
I'd rather remove the most number of GB since it would need a lot of space. Sometimes I buy a separate hard drive to transfer the ones that are really important.
What programs can I remove from my computer?
"safe", meaning "safe to remove without causing problems"
