In office we use outlook to read all the emails from our windows server 2003. Everything is fine ( XP ).
From home I can read emails via web access Windows server 2003 on a XP machine.
Now I have a Vista machine, trying to login to the web access for office email. Yes, I can log in and can see then emails. BUt when I click reply or forward, a new screen pop up and I should be able to reply the email. However, only the top with the subject, to, cc, etc appear. The bottom part which I should be writing my email is not accessable. Actually it appears like a photo that is not accessible on the web.... a red "X" on the top left hand corner.
Can anyone help me out on this?? I tried to allow all the active X control settings at the security section. Still cannot work. I also went to Circuit city and try on every machine, still the same thing. HELP! HELP! HELP!
Viewing emails from Windows server 2003, web access problem?
It sounds like you're using Microsoft Exchange and OWA (Outlook Web Access) to access your email. The problem isn't so much with Vista as it is with Internet Explorer 7. It sounds like it really doesn't like your SSL certificate, which is probably self-signed (i.e. not from a third party certification authority, which costs $$$). You can try installing it, and hopefully when you created the cert it was issued to the right domain name for your external email access (e.g. webmail.yourcompany.net).
If it wasn't setup properly, make a new certificate. Then, on the machines you're connecting from install the certificates into the trusted store (see here for an example: http://www2.ssb.be/it/ie7/owa_certificat...
If you really have no idea how to configure your SSL certificate(s) for OWA, see here:
