A network error occcured while connecting to the server
Web cam waiting to re-connect.
I have found the answer:
Norton update changed its firewall settings! Use windows firewall and check you have listed Yahoo mesenger. SWITCH OFF the PERSONAL FIREWALL in your Norton section or reconfigure. check and it will now work ok.

Never switch off your firewall.
i have recently had this problem.
open up norton internet security, settings, personal firewall, configure, programme control. scroll down to yahoo messenger and change auto to allow.
this should hopefully resolve your problem.

Go to the firewall settings and input an exception for the cam or program you are runing

just decrease you security level on the fire wall. I.e.
Internet Explorer -->Click on "Tools" --> Internet Options -->Security -->click on "default level".
