I am trying to set up my wireless router "Belkin" and need to get to the web page but when I try to access it a window pops and asks: The server 192.168.2.1 at Default: admin/1234 requires a username and password.
Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection). Can somebody please help me?

You accept that is the case; It sounds like your IE settings are interferring; The defaults you give are correct for Belkin
Just enter those defaults, follow the guide, and if you get prompted by the IE security setup, just OK it, and proceed.
Make sure the User Name and Password you have is strong ( i.e. reasonably long, hard to crack, but still something you can remember). Go through and set all the settings as securely as the guide can tell you. If you have ANY doubts, call Belkin phone support. They should help. I usually recommend Linksys, but saying Buy Linksys is not going to help you in your Situation, anyway, Definitely follow the guide as best you can, then Call Belkin Support

The only way to change a router login ID and password is to know the old one or reset the router to factory defaults.
Go to Belkin's web site and see if you can get info on your specific model router to do this.
