my limewire can't connect to its server and my Bittorrent cant find any seeds.. this is a virus, i think. here's the details..

so my limewire can't connect.. maybe it's a connection problem..

so what i did is to go to my web browser(to find out if i have connection problems), and there was a connection.. then i downloaded Azureus (for a test download), and i got 60kbp/s dl rate.. how can limewire and bittorrent not work?? there's gotta be some problem, right?

now, for the bittorrent, i guessed that maybe the torrent didnt really have any seeds (even though it was working fine the day before).. i dled another torrent.. a fresh and healthy one... but its still the same.. it cant find any seeds.. its just like this:

Seeds: 0(0) Peers: 0(102)

wtf?

i restarted my pc.. on the windows startup, avast detected a virus.. it was called "a.bat".. so i moved it on the chest

now, when i used the web browser.. the connection dropped down heavily..i restarted again..and "a.bat" is still there

You actually have what I feel is the best antivirus software you can get and for the last 10 yrs nearly every year it's been rated #1... you need to have Avast do a "Boottime" scan

NOT just a regular scan of your computer, If you dont do a "boot time scan" it will NOT remove your virus as this is the only way to remove a virus, what it does is boots avast and only avast so that any virus' found will be removed before the operating system boots. This will take about 45 mins so if you plan on using the internet, I'd suggest having Avast do the boottime scan before you go to bed.
