I am new at this...i need to host my wesbsite, but before that i want to know:

1- is it important to register my domain name with the same hosting company?

for example: i buy my domain from godaddy.com and i host my website at hostnexus.com.

2- I want to buy an SSL, but should I also have it from the same hosting company or it is ok to buy it from another website?

Better stick to the same company for all the Services. Becuase it would not lead to any confusions. Say your domain is working right but ur hosting is down. The Hosting people always have a chance to say your Domain is not working and vice versa.

godaddy.com offers all the services you need in one place, plus their web hosting is very low priced, I think you should get all in one place, one account, you can handle it better, especially when the renewal time comes. You also, can do it with different companies but it is more work.

You can buy the domain and hosting seperately but you need to buy the SSL from the same guys who host you. There is no other way, A.F.A.I.K.
