web space is same as your hard disk space , only difference is hard disk space is present on your home computer , and web space is presenet somewhere on a remote server , where you can rent / purchase some space to put your files or data. when you rent/purchase some space to put your files on a remote server/computer it is called web hosting , so both are same ,

now you want a free space without ads , thats difficult , try yahoo geocities , but still ads comes on it .
