What software is use full for a web server?
You can use MS IIS. For this you must install MS 2000 or MS 2003 and during setup of the OS select IIS.
You can also install IIS later after installing the OS by going to control panel, add programs.
The other best SW for web server is Apache. It is freeware and you can get it here:

I only serve from behind a firewall, so grab another old computer box, and install http://ipcop.org
You only need the keyboard and monitor while you set them up the first time. after that, you remote in from anywhere, as Administrator, using strong passwords.

Which software u use to develop th Web Pages will also matter.
If u r Designing Web Pages in ASP /ASP.NET then u have to use IIS Web Server.
If u r Designing Web Pages in JSP /J2EE then u have to use Apache Tomcat or Weblogic Server.
