INFORMATION COLLECTED BY MAU In addition to information actively provided by individuals using MAU websites, the MAU web servers routinely record the following information each time the sites are used:
鈥?Internet address of the computer being used
鈥?Web pages requested
鈥?Network software access
鈥?Referring web page
鈥?Browser used
鈥?Date, time and duration of activity
鈥?Accounts accessed; date and time of a password change
鈥?Volume of data storage and transfers
鈥?Server space used for e-mail.
MAU uses this information to monitor and preserve the functioning and integrity of the system.
What does this mean? That they only monitor you when you are on the university's websites? please help, thanks!
Is this a policy regarding the use of a University computer, or a University-provide internet connection? If that's the case, it means they will track whatever internet browsing activity you conduct. Then they can expell you if you do something strictly prohibited like visiting adult websites, or attempting to hack into other students' records.
