I wish to make my system into a server to keep and access pictures and file in my system remotely from other PC using iternet as media, for example like yahoo breifcase. How can i do that, Suggest is there any software for that

The simplest way to do this is to use 'Remote Desktop' or VNC software. You can try http://www.logmein.com for this. You will be able to access your PC from anywhere using a Java enabled browser or the tool that LogMeIn provides. Another alternative is RealVNC.
If you want to get into details and get your hands dirty, you can try hosting a HTTP or a FTP server. The main difference between them that might concern you is that you can modify/upload new files if you use FTP. If you use HTTP, you can just view your files.
If you want to use HTTP, you can use Apache. For FTP, FileZilla is quite good.
Next thing you need is a static IP. You will need an IP address to access your system, and if your IP address keeps changing everytime you connect, you will have a hard-time connecting from outside.
If you have a static IP, the IP will never change and you can always use the same IP to connect from anywhere, anytime.
However, chances are that you might not have a static IP and buying static IP is bit expensive. You can host your server on dynamic IP too without remembering IP addresses. You can use a tool like Dynamic DNS for that. You can find it at: http://www.dyndns.com
