How to hide my ip address in online game?

I have tried some anonymous proxy servers, but they can only hide my ip in web browser. If my software does not use http or does not support proxy, it will show my real ip. Any method to hide my IP address in all softwares? especially in online game.

Proxy is an old technology. If you want to hide your IP in all protocols and softwares, you need a virtual private netwrk (VPN) server. You connect to the VPN server and the VPN server hide your IP and encrypt all your data and as an agent to go to the Internet for you.

However, there are still some disadvantage of using VPN. Generally, it is slower than proxy, because it encrypts data, so, it makes the data size increase a lot. Also, the requirement of computation power of VPN is much higher than proxy, so, seldom free VPN server available.

You will need to find a proxy that will proxy all ports (or at least the ones you need for your particular game). I'm not sure if such services exist. (web proxies are a special case which is why they are easier to implement)

You could set up your own proxy server on some machine and do it that way... but it sort of depends on why you want to hide your IP :)

since using a proxy will still show an IP.. it'll always be the proxy's IP.

rather than hiding IP you might consider renewing your IP after an online game session.

Start ->Run->cmd or command->ipconfig/renew

should work
