if you want freelance work, all your gunna get is low level stuff. If you join a firm, they can assign you to projects with big corporations and buisnesses, and you may even get a commision. :D
but I still hate consultants.

Try getting the grab of the latest technologies, such as CSS, HTML, DHTML and JavaScript.
Look for Tutorials that give you basis of Web Design, there are pretty much resources out there, so i wont be able to give you a grab of it. Use your favourite search engine
