The error message is:
The connection has timed out
The server at f334.mail.yahoo.com is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Fails with firefox and ie. Worked fine when the front page said Yahoo Mail Beta.... Is there an outage?

Sorry, it's just part of the glitch!

Thousands are having many different problems with their mail as there are still glitchs that Yahoo! hasn't gotten fixed yet in their new format.
This applies to almost all areas of mail (including signing in, composing, receiving, sending, attachments, photos, etc.), original and beta mail, messenger and search problems, for the last few weeks.
I found this in What's New In Mail:
We鈥檙e wrapping up a few remaining compatibility issues between Yahoo! Mail Beta and the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
BETA means TESTING!!!
So, it seems we have to uninstall these two things or try to work around them until they finish wrapping things up.
