Basically it just doesn't work. I have a BT Home Hub, and Microsoft Vista.
When I go onto a firefox page it says 'Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.co.uk.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
All of these things I have checked. But strangely enough, my Internet Explorer is working. PLEASE HELP!
I have Windows Internet Explorer. It works fine However, firefox doesn't. What should I do?
You're probably connecting to the web through a web proxy.
In the Windows Control Panel, go to Internet Options and on the Connections tab, click the LAN Settings... button.
If the "User a proxy server" checkbox is checked, you're using a proxy server.
Firefox needs to be told to use the proxy.
In Firefox, go to Tools|Options in the main menu. Click Advanced in the toolbar, go to the Network tab, Click the Settings... button, and select "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network" and click OK. If that doesn't work, you'll need to manually copy over your proxy settings.

Go into Internet Explorer, go into TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS and then LAN SETTINGS. Is there any PROXY settings? If so, copy the proxy and put it into firefox. If there are none, edit your question and add that information to your question.

Sometimes firefox doesn't mesh well with other programs because it isn't a microsoft product. You may need to go to their website support.. I have provided the link below.. Hope this helps :)
