I am totaly ignorant about websites . A friend made one for me and then i had it 6 months later updated by a proper company. The web hosting ran out . I managed to find the webhost and Ib updated the billing and I had an email from them this morning to say it was all fine . I went to look on my site and find there is error 403 and I contacted the hoster and they said I had not added any pages . Does this mean my website has died ???
What has happened to my website ..it hads disappeared !!!!?
It sounds like when you had the billing issues, they probably took your website down (since it wasnt paid for). Then when you got the billing straightened out, your site is live again, but you have to go back and republish your files.
If you still have the original HTML files, or however the site was built originally (frontpage, dreamweaver, publisher, etc) just FTP or republish back to your host. If you do not have the original site files, ask your friend if he/she does, if not, you'll have to start from scratch most likely. But it will give you a chance to revamp your design.
Good Luck

Hi Shetland - it hasn't died, just gone for the moment. Your friend probably still has your files, so you'd have to email him/her and ask them to upload them to the site again. Since your account expired, your hosting company would have deleted them. Good luck!
