After i upload my indx.htm to httpdocs to my web host the only thing i get is the apache server test page. how can i make this work? Hel please!

First, you should find out what name is used on your web hosting as the index file. Commonly, it's name should be: index.htm, index.html, default.htm, default.html.
If your web hosting uses any server side scripting technology, the file extension should be asp for ASP, php for PHP, and so on
When your web hosting is Apache, I think you could first try with the name index.html

You need to see if the whole system is running ok or not. Btw have you done a tracert? Is your site pinging?Is the clean cache running ok? Have you restarted the apache?

try renaming your index.htm to index.php. Upload it again, and see what happens.
