I'm trying to setup my computer as a server to test my web page. Every time I go to localhost it as me for a password. Do anyone know how I can test my website on my computer. I already installed windows IIS
Local host?
This is due to the ACL, or Access Control List, on the resource. The resource being the directory (C:\inetpub\wwwroot, or where ever your site files are). This error usually happens when you move your site files outside of the default webroot.
Open Windows Explorer, browse to c:\inetpub, right click wwwroot, select the security tab, and adjust the permissions by adding the Everyone group to the list.
