Wow it's hard to narrow the top reasons. The web host I chose has an Alexa.com ranking of 901, so they now how to get traffic and have succeeded in training me to as well. (possibly #1)

There program is self teachable and can be done at your own pace(likely #2) In comparison to paying someone to build a top notch website, it saved me thousands of dollars.(a definite top reason for me so #3).
