I need an idiots guide. Here is what I've done. Web address is example.

Purchased www.example.com from Mad Dog domains

Already have www.example.blogspot.com at blogger

I want to merge them.

I go to the settings in blogger and update custom domain to www.example.com

I go to mad dog domain and under CNAME i change host to www and point to ghs.google.com

What do I do next?! Is it instant?

I thought that I could then update via blogger and read via the .com address. So far the .com address is just a holding page saying the domain has been purchased (by me!)

Am I missing anything? Thanks!

The best thing I'd do is go onto the Google Group board for Blogger. There are quite a few people who can help you there, even Google's employees.

I would have thought that the set up would have been instant. Unless there are other settings that you need to check. Have a look in a day or two as well, just in case there is a delay on your web server.
