I want to build a successful blog with advertising links. Is it better to pay for web hosting so that the name of the blog sounds more professional? I want to put links on there and am concerned perhaps that one can't make money with a free blogging host...do you know of any blogs that are successful that host on these free sites? Any feedback greatly appreciated.

you have to pay web hosting and domain name seperatly, some do combine them and give you "Free" domain, but they usually charge you higher for hosting. yes its more professional to use domain name because people dont have to keep clicking on dots and stuff, and think that your blog belongs to teh free hosting site.

Keeping it short and sweet is the key to having people remember your site, be it a blog or an online store.
