My sister bought a domain name but then she canceled it because web hosting was not included...
Anyway, she really wants that domain name and we're wondering how long it would take for that domain to be available again so she can purchase it again under a different plan from a different provider.
Does anyone know about this?
Thanks for your help!
After canceling a domain name, how long would it take to be available again?
I think its 30 or 60 days. She could have transfered the domain to another host or just pointed the DNS server to her hosting package elsewhere.
For example, if you buy a domain from Yahoo, and get hosting at 1and1.com, you can point your domain's nameserver (where it gets your website from) to NS1.1AND1.COM (or whatever it is). That's how I have mine setup. She could be waiting awhile.
You can use whois.net to check on the status however.

Dear fiend, any bad web hosting service would trouble you for a long period. At first, try to choose a professional service to get rid of the subsequent problems. And also please don鈥檛 trust dishonest claims like unlimited hosting space or unlimited bandwidth!
Depending on the type of your website, as an experienced webmaster I suggest one of the two following services: BlueHost & BlueFish. Both of mentioned services are Multi-awarded, offering a Full-featured service only $6.95 a month. Their service is really perfect, reliable and uptime.
