Hi I'll try to be as specific as possible.

I have the .html document ready to be posted

I have the components (like images) that are part of the .html

I have the web domain name

I have hosting service, and a hosting account.

I went to ftp.(mydomain).net

I transfered the document to the file.

How do I set it up from here? so that the html document is the what shows up when the user goes to (mydomain.net)

If no try

the images and such need to be in the same directory structure as you have setup locally. So if there in a directory on your local machine they need to me in that same named directory on the server. It's hard to tell you without more details. If you could post what the directory names are on the server we could tell you which one to put everything in. Most likely it will be the default directory you are in when you login through FTP. The main file name needs to be named index.html or index.html as well in most cases to make it the default page.

Like the person mentioned above, make sure you name the web page correctly, index.html or welcome html. Home.html may also work.

Try to put all your files into a single folder, and then goto that folder and preview your homepage first, make sure all the pictures show up and etc, and then just upload the content of the folder to your home directory on your FTP server.
