I want to make a web site using a cms, so i'll need php and mysql.
I have found even a "Free web host for only 28.99".
What do you recommend me?
About the ads: i have no problem if a little bar is on the top of the home page, or if i have to insert a little button linked to them, but no huge ads and thousands of pop-ups.

There are any number of hosts that will provide ad free hosting for 4 bucks a month and will toss in a free domian name registration. Look for those that toss in domain name registrations for the life of the account and do not charge you to renew the name. What else could you want?

i think www.bizhat.com to this for free. At least they did when i joined them but i dont use php.

I use Lunar Pages. It has everything you mentioned except the ads.

I use http://www.gig4free.com. It has PHP, MySQL (not FTP). File uploads are done through cPanel. It does have ads but they are relatively small banner ads across the top of pages.
