I am highly interested in website development and know much more about (VB, HTMl and javascript etc.)
Currently I have been working in multinational company as a 'Marketing Officer' (absolutely different) for two years and responsible for reporting Sales and manage data about my deptt. To do this I have designed many databases and dashbords in form of web pages or with MS Office Excel, Access and P Point.
I am very familiar with MS Office especially in Access and Excel can work with VBA.
I want to do much more, like I have a plan to make a FTP web site that will have all the information regarding company policies, campaigns etc. and reports (sales etc.) so our all branches (34) and 40 users in home office can access all the important information easily. (Sure! I can do this)
But I am feeling that I cannot to do this with Marketing Deptt.
Suggest me your best.
Thanks!
How to be a professional Website developer?
There are many ways you can become a professional website developer, and also many categories within that as well. I'm assuming you specifically mean just website development and not the designing aspect of it (i.e. making it look great on the eyes.)
The way I'd recommend is getting an Apache server running with MySql and PHP. Then you'll need to learn PHP and how to interact with MySql. If you're running Windows theres a free suite called WAMP (Windows Apache MySql PHP) that will install everything you need. If you're going to be running Linux on the server there are many suites including LAMP and XAMP. Alternatively, you can download PHP, MySQL and Apache and install them seperately.
