For domain, don't go for cheap, go with trustworthy. There are cheaper than GoDaddy and the other big players but you can get ripped if they go out of business or their customer service sucks.
I use GoDaddy because you can get coupon codes to make it really cheap and they are large enough to be reliabel. I have had several experiences with customer service and have been really happy.
