I started to use my Yahoo account when Hotmail changed its format to 'Live Mail' but I gave up with Yahoo because of too many return messages with similar comments to those below. I decided to give Yahoo another try but in 2 days have had 3 similar returns.
'Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address. <..................@hotmail.com>:
Remote host said: 550 SC-001 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation problems. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your E-mail/Internet
--- Below this line is a copy of the message.'
What is this 'reputation' problem and can anything be done about it? I originally thought it was because I was using a Middle East ISP but it continues here in the UK. I am not going to constantly risk 50% of my mail being rejected, so will give up using Yahoo completely if not resolved.
Why so many rejected Yahoo emails?
I have the same problem which started a few days ago. I just finished a "Live Chat" with Yahoo Customer Care and they said that I should forward the "bump" message to postmaster@hotmail.com. I tried that and received a reply from Hotmail that this is an unmonitored address. I'm now attempting to "chat" again with YAHOO. I'll update when I get more.
Why so many rejected Yahoo emails?
I've just started getting these messages as well when I send to any hotmail or msn.com mail account. I tried converting the original email to plain text and resending, but it still bounced.
If anyone can provide an answer it would be greatly appreciated.
