I would like to know if we can host a particular website on multiple servers say for eg. www.yahoo.com. Can this be hosted on multiple servers. (only yahoo.com, but not yahoo.co.in, yahoo.co.uk) . Only reason is to control traffic.

You could - you would have to have the links on a particular page link directly to the page(s) on the other server.

For instance - put all of your text info on one server - than have a link to a page with just the videos or games that take up more bandwith on the other server.

yes you could host a website in multiple webservers but all the webservers are under the load balancer.

Your website need to configure load balancer.

When ever a request come to the load balancer it process the request to one of the server.
