That is instead of paying whatever amount of money to have a webhosting company host your website you can you host it off your computer, if you don't know what I'm talking about go here:

Does anyone know if AT&T Yahoo DSL allows its customers to use their computer to host their own website?
You can, but you will have 2 drawbacks:
1-Your ip address is dynamic, so everytime your modem renews its DHCP lease, you will have to specify a new IP address for your website.
2-Your bandwidth will be so choked that it will take users an obscenely long time to view your webpage.
