im thinking of getting a web hosting plan from 1and1 the 4.99 a month plan includes 25, 100mb databases. this seems enough but is it?

4.99 seems a bit much for what you want to do. Think about buying the domain name and using invisionfree or something
Also look around a bit I've heard lots of bad stuff about 1and1
