I was dumb enough to sign up for Microsoft Office Live's basic free version of web hosting.
I've created a nice website full of carefully written copy...complete with the perfect fonts, underlining, and highlighting, etc.
The problem is...when I save the website, it doesn't save properly. I can save it exactly the way I want in the site creator...but then when I visit the actual site online, the fonts are all messed up!
Do you know what I'm doing wrong? How do I fix this so the actual site is identical to the way it looks on the site creator when I save it?
I need help saving my website with Microsoft Office Live!?
I personally have not used Microsoft Office Live, but when you view the web page are you viewing it from Internet Explorer or another browser? chances are the Microsoft created website will only look right on the Microsoft browser.
Also, you may want to check and see if there are any hidden files that should have been uploaded to your website. I know Microsoft is bad about that (previous versions of Frontpage created hidden files that were used for formatting). try opening up the local version of your website files and going to Tools -> Folder Options -> View and click on "Show hidden files and folders". If new files appear then try uploading them to your web server and see if that fixes the formatting issues
If that doesn't work then all I can say is welcome to the wonderful world of Microsoft :)
