I have been using apache for a long time now, and i have had one too many problems with it, and am looking for a replacement for it. Does anyone know if the version that comes with microsoft windows actually works, or if there is one ( i am running server 2003 enterprise ed.)

The bottom line is i need a web hosting program besides apache (and i could not get xampp to work and yes i know it uses apache)

any help would be appreciated

IIS (the server built into Windows Server) works okay. It's a pain to get PHP working with it and you can't do all the fancy Apache mod_rewrite stuff.

I've used Lighttpd and I thought it was pretty good. Try that as an alternative to both IIS, which has security problems, and Apache, which you don't like. See my source for a link!
