This is what my web designer is asking. I have no idea how to handle these questions so he can put up my site. I was hoping I could have this answered and give him freedom to set up the site without giving up my password.
What we need to make sure your yahoo.com hosting has

If you signed up for your hosting through Yahoo! Small Business, and bought the Starter, Standard or Professional package, yes, you get MySQL with that.

If it is with Yahoo! Small business, it's a *nix server. I believe Yahoo primarily hosts off FreeBSD but that shouldn't matter unless you are getting a really, really complex install.
