Can someone please provide me with the information on how to implement or how "pause/resume download" works. Example, if I have a file at web server and I started downloading, in between something happened and I need to pause now, when I start it has to start from the place where it stopped. I do know there are some softwares like IDM / DAP which perform same task but I like to know how they work. I like to know how client browser know from where to download. Any link to such topic is appreciated. I already searched Google and yahoo but could not get much details.
