I m using Microsoft Windows XP SP2 as OS and i m using IIS 5.0 as web server. I want to change the setting for maximum clients can be connected through web server in Intra net. I have read many articles about this problem and ends to find a property maxclients. But unable to find the location where it is specified. Please do help me to solve this problem so my work goes on.
Thanks in advance.
How to change MaxClients?
Normally this isn't an issue but if it is you can change the settings. Its been so long since I used IIS5 but found an article from code charge that had it. I will also say that moving to IIS6 is highly recommended see the MS Site link below!
I also think that under XP you have a limit of 10 which is the OS not the web server? Won't swear to that but I think I remember reading that somewhere.
goto the server and under Administrative Tools choose Internet Services Manager, then choose properties of the Default Website and dialog menu will appear. Choose the "Web Site" tab. Mid way down is a text area where Connections. You can choose unlimited or limited to: where you can assign the number of connections.
(I personally run Apache and have a lot less issues with the system)
How to change MaxClients?
You will probably need to buy additional licences for your machine. Nothing Microsoft comes free.
