It depends on what you need the server to do.
If you want to host a static site, then shared hosting is fine, but if you are planning on something that is going to have huge download and visitor traffic, then get a VPS or dedicated server.

they provide you with very good customer serevice
they even corrected my mistakes (with different folders)
and they are very cheap
