I want to start a website and have an store online but I don't want to pay extra for it and have people taking a few percent here and there. Is it possible to add a store to your site without buying the hosting option that lets you do this? I am interested in getting 1and1's Home plan. I want customers to be able to use PayPal, add items to a shopping cart, choose shipping and buy it. I am somewhat familiar with HTML but I haven't dealt with stores. If it's possible with HTML I can learn it I just need pointed in the right direction. Thanks.

I have a Paypal shopping cart on my site and it's free. You have to enter HTML from Paypal into your web page. You also have to type in your own description of items. The only fees you have to pay are normal Paypal fees. Go to Paypal's site and look for merchant services. It has everything you need to know.

You can setup a custom shopping cart system, but you can't do it with HTML. Do a search for "shopping cart" or "eCommerce". That should get you pointed in the right direction.
