so, last year, in the begining of freshman year in high school, i was suspended for 5 days. the reason being that i made a website which made fun of another student about getting suspended because he said something bad about a teacher on a powerpoint. i hosted that file and slandered the other student. i even showed this site to the other student, and he thought it was funny. they suspended me because they said i was making fun of the teacher, but in reality I was making fun onf the other student. is this suspension going to ruin all my chances to go to a good UC school? i have a 3.6 avergae unweighted, 4.00 weighted so far, have done 50 hours plyus community service and going to do 200(planned), playing soccer and track, heavily involved in spanish and debate club. i just want to knoe if all this work is in vain if they totally reject me for my mistake in freshman year. i have been in no trouble with the law otherwise and overall a good kid. i just want to know what colleges will say.

Considering your GPA, you seem like a pretty smart kid. My question is, did you fail spelling, or did you fail keyboarding? You misspelled/typed about 20% of your words.....

No, this will no effect your chances of getting in college. If it was due to threats or fighting then maybe but this will not.

No...don't freak out. It's not the end of the world. BUT stop doing STUPID stuff (even if it is funny) because the next time you may not be so lucky. I'd say you are okay, so don't panic.

It probably won't ruin your chances. There's often an area where you can explain any weak spots in your application, in which case you might mention what happened (without dwelling on it or being too defensive) and what you learned from the experience (for example, that one should be discreet about what one posts on the Internet, whatever the intention).
