I have received an email that I have won 250k pounds from Fortune Sweepstakes of the UK, is it true? or scam?
I have received similar emails in the past. This is what you can do.Tell them that you cannot and will not send them any money upfront for any type of fees or expenses. Tell them that the only further correspondences need only to be to tell you when you are getting your check. Give them very little information. They will ask for a copy of your drivers license and social security card. Don't do it, it is a way for them to steal your identity. If they keep corresponding without giving you money, then threaten to report them to the US Secret Service, they prosecute these types of scams. When you mention the US government they will get scared and stop contacting you.
