I have a number of publications as Favorites and often like to send an article to friends as an attachment or email link. When I click on "File," go to "Send," and click on "as attachment" or "as link," I get amail form in which I put in addresses and click send. I next get two messages: (1) "Connecting to HTTP," which changes to Outlook Express. Error: The host SMPT could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name coreectly. Account HTTP, Server SMPT, Protocol: SMPT, Port 25, Secure SSL: No. Socket error 11001, Error Number 0x800CCC0D."
Have contacted Dell (using Dell computer with Microsoft products) and Microsoft and neither give solution--both want to be paid for responding to my inquiry!
I cannot send email from my Outlook account.
I suspect that this is a setting problem (and acknowledge that likely we probably set something wrong), but this is ridiculous. I know that i can "cut" copy" and put in email, but that is not what I want to do. HELP!!!!!
Problem with sending emails with attachments when on internet sites, e.g. NYTimes site.?
Do you usually use Outlook Express as your e-mail client? Outlook express is the defualt mail client that MS Internet Explore uses to send web links or pages. If you do not have Outlook Express configured to send and recive mail from your mail server then you will get the above error.
