Dear all;
I have a problem with accessing my email outside the organization, I will explain the situation:
I have ISA server 2006 with 2 Ethernet cards, 1 for the internal network and the 2nd for the External and has a real IP. and I have another server which has exchange, domain controller and DNS servers and has a internal IP, I published the exchange with ISA by using mail server publishing rule wizard, I choose to use pop3 and SMTP and listen for external, local host and internal networks, and forward all SMTP and pop3 traffic to the exchange server IP, also I made another access rule to allow all mail protocols and telnet from both sides, but I cannot telnet or access my email outside the company, so I connect the exchange direct with the real imp and disable ISA, then I accessed my email perfectly, so I think there is some sort of authentication or something missing between ISA and exchange. Please help me with this.
Thanks and regards

Problem with accessing MS exchange mail with pop3 and smtp outside the organization?
It sounds like there is a authentication problem.Is the firewall policy's for external to exchange set to authenticated users or all users.If the policy is set to authenticated users you need to tell the isa server where to authenticate.I would set up your computer to VPN into the network.I use ISA 2004 but it cant be much different from 2006.Try this website as I find it a good source of information for our ISA server.
