If there is no point in signing out, why do email hosts have you do it?
If you do not sign out from your Yahoo email account, can it be accessed easier by strangers?
There is a point to signing out of email ..
if you do not sign out and someone else sits at your computer and opens a browser , the browser will open directly into your email.
If you sign out of email ( and any programme ) then to get back into that email you will get a password prompt.
