met this girl at a friends party (We are both in mid 20s). We had a good conversation, but since my colleague was the host, I wasn't sure if I should get her number or not. But later another married friend of mine had gotten a business card from her, and today he handed it to me saying that I should ask her out.
I am thinking is it better to talk to her first indrectly....like she is a tech writer/editor, and I am writign a book for fun. So should I ask her if she knows someone who can help me edit the book. Or should I be direct and say that I am interested in her and ask her out to coffee or something. I am afraid she might freak out and become embarrased if I am too direct.
What do you think? Pls advise, what should I tell her when I call her? Or should I email her, cos I also got her email?
Girls, asking her out, direct or indirect approach, which is better?
You are in your mid 20s and I do not see anything wrong with you being direct. You might not have to let her know that you are interested cause when you ask her out to get a cup of coffee she should automatically be able to assume that you are already interested. (hope that made some sense) Just call her and be confident.
Good luck on your date, wish you the best.
