Can anyone recommend any forum software (free or not) that allows users the option to either read/post by email, or on a forum website? I really like SimpleMachines, but they don't have a digest option that I can find. Also, would like this to be a non-hosted setup, I will host the site (I have Perl, PHP, MySql, cron available). I ran across one forum package that had this capability, but lost the site, now I can't find it again, ack. Any suggestions would be welcome, Thanks.

I am not sure if this answers your question.I made a fishing forum through this site and they were great in helping me get it up and running.Check them out but I am not sure if this is what your looking for.
