I downloaded firefox to get rid of it and restarted my pc. when i went back to it, there was a yahoo banner advertising domain names. It stayed there a few minutes, then it started flashing random ads again. Is there anyway to get rid of this. Also when I first log on, my home screen has movie ads that take up about 1/8 of the screen. I'm new to yahoo & just learning but how do I get rid of this? Thanks
Yahoo! Mail has flashing banner that's annoying, where'd it come from?
have to disallow pop up banners from appearing.
for Firefox.
first:
go to tools->options->change ur home page setting to "http://www.yahoo.com/?.home=ytff" copy paste the link.
done? click OK
second:
go to tools->options->content->click on all buttons "block pop-up windows", "enable javascript", etc. there should be four choice buttons. after that, go to the "exception" for "block pop-up windows", clear the exceptions that u think belongs to the ad banner company. done? click OK and restart firefox.
