Ok, I have Windows XP. I was looking in the add/remove programs & I've noticed that I have all these programs that I do not use! Here's a list, & tell me which ones are not needed-
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft Internationalized Domain Names Mititgation APIs
Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003
Microsoft Visual J# . NET Redistributable Package 1.1
NVIDIA GART Driver
PC-Doctor for Windows
PS2
S3 S3Display
S3 S3Gamma2
S3 S3Info2
S3 S3Overlay
VIA/S3G Display Driver
Viewpoint Media Player
Do I needs these & if I install them from my computer will they effect it?
Which programs are not nessesary?
Viewpoint Media Player can be removed - it comes with AIM and is completely unnecessary.
S3 entries are for integrated graphics - so, if you have an add-on graphics card these are not necessary. But, if you have the integrated graphics, removing these will mess up your display until you re-install
PC-Doctor is not absolutely necessary - but, uninstalling it has caused system instability on some systems. Might as well just keep it as it's not hurting anything
Microsoft Office is not necessary - but useful. If you don't use it, you can remove it.
Everything else you should keep - and actually, you should do an update as .NET Framework 3 is out. You should at least have 2.0.
If you remove NVIDIA GART Driver, you won't be able to get online through broadband until you re-install.
