I am trying to purchace a domain name and that is the message I get. When I call the phone number given (1-877-SBC-DSL-5). I get a recorded message about DSL connectivity. I once got through to a real person and they didn't have the foggiest idea of what to do, they just asked me to keep calling the recorded message number. I have purchased many domain names using this service and never had any trouble untill now - but I have tried sever times over the past week without success.

According to http://www.infosyssec.com/infosyssec/sec... it says:

Accepted. Request accepted but not completed yet, it will continue asynchronously.

Whoever you're trying to register the domain name with is possibly experiencing problems that they're trying to figure out. I don't know what 202 means other than what the person above posted, but it's an internal error code for certain situations occurring in their computer systems.
If the name's still available, you might as well register it elsewhere.
