I manage a multicountry Latin American travel website (Peru Chile Brazil Argentina & Bolivia) http://cat-travel.com. Do you think it would be a good idea to have different domain names for each country?
Should I have multiple URLs for each country?
The only benefit I see to this would be to attract more local attention. It is the same principle if I saw a website like www.yahoo.co.uk. I would know this was in the UK, and would probably not pertain to me (unless I lived in the UK). If you want these other countries to use your site regularly and give them the feeling that they are working with a more local company, then I would recommend registering the domain in the different countries.
Should I have multiple URLs for each country?
Domains are usually cheap. If there's no financial
reason against it it's in most cases not the worst
idea to cover your main area of operation with
native TLDs.
Should I have multiple URLs for each country?
Nope not nessacary....
