I think the best way to explain my question is by providing example, so here it is:
If someone purchased a domain name with hosting lets name it Circle. com uses it to sell shapes, and wants to purchase more domain names such as square.com and triangle.com - is it possible to have them all linked to on, main web site? I am not sure how else to explain, but I am hoping someone knows what I am talking about.
Question about web sites-domain names?
Sure. Just like you can link to myspace.com or google.com from any other web site.
The other way to do it is if you're in the business of selling circles, squares and triangles, you can have circles.com, squares.com, and triangles.com all resolve to the same Internet (IP) address. That way it doesn't matter which one they type in, they'll get to your site.
A domain name is just a substitute for IP address that is easier for us humans to remember... A domain name you own can resolve into any IP address you want -- as long as you register it.
Question about web sites-domain names?
Yes, On My Site I have over 20
K-Disk.com
Ktimaster.net
For Example all reside on the same server
You just need a host that allows Multiple Domains, Try
http://www.hostmonster.com/track/kdiskco...
as it does support unlimited domains (It comes with 1 free and $10.00 for each add-on). It also has 300GB of WebSpace to play around with.
Hope that helps
Question about web sites-domain names?
Do you mean you want all the sites to automatically forward to circle.com? In that case, contact the DNS provider who sold you the other domain names and have them set those domains to forward to circle.com. They should have a tutorial or FAQ somewhere explaining how. If they don't contact customer service and ask them.
Or do you want circle.com to have links to the other sites? In that case, just put the links somewhere on the circle.com website, the same way you would do any other hyperlink.
