Do people outside of the US hate that they have to put in domain names like
.in - India
.de - Germany
etc...
and the US uses .com

They wouldn't hate it, because at least they can read a webpage in their own language, and the extension will let them know that it is for their country.

Not sure how it affects them, when I get emails off my cousin in Australia her email address has .au on, we just use .com here in Britain too, maybe its the Internet provider that insists on it in those countries.
