I just bought a Linksys wireless router to use for my Playstation3. I used the CD that came with the router and followed all of the instructions. Everything was going great until it came time to establish an internet connection. That's when things started going south. I turned my modem on and off like it suggested and checked a thousand times to see if the cords were in the right places, which they were. (network cable from my modem to my router's internet port and then a network cable from the #1 port on the router to my computer) Anyways it keeps saying it can't establish an internet connection and i can't figure out why. I then tried to do the advanced setup but I have no clue what I'm doing. I have DSL but I have no clue what all the ISP usernames and domain names and all those things are.
Bottom Line...I NEED HELP!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If I have a wireless router...does that mean I need a wireless network adapter?
does Playstation 3 have wireless capbilities??? i didn't know that... anyways, trying to put the router close to your ps3, and try again, have you tried to search for wireless networks on your ps3? if not that could be the problem. i don't have your router or a ps3 so i can't be anymore help...

have you got the right cables? they can be used either way,if you use cables you need straight NOT crossover. ISP is internet service provider, domain name usally starts with www.
